General Information on Allergies
First we would like to give you a little education about allergens .There are two main things that most people are allergic to: Dust mites and pollens/molds. Your home or office could literally be loaded with them and you would never know it just by looking because they are VERY small is size. They are not visible to the human eye !
Vacuuming
If you have allergy problems there are several things that you should be thinking about. Regular vacuuming with a quality vacuum that uses a bag, preferably a HEPA vacuum, is one of the biggest things that you can do to improve indoor air quality. If you use a low quality vacuum you will actually blow these allergens right trough the vacuum and they will remain airborne for about 24 hours due to their small size (1-3 microns on average). There is a correlation to vacuuming and the affects on your allergies.
Dust your walls off every 1-2months. You would be surprised how much dust and allergens can accumulate on your walls. Just try taking a white towel and wipe off an area on your wall today and see for yourself.
Have your carpets and upholstery professional cleaned every one to two years, at the very least. Remember that you cannot see the allergens that are stuck in your fabrics. Things may look clean, but be loaded with allergens. Do you ever notice that when you sit down on a certain piece of furniture that you often sneeze? Click here for even more info on vacuuming.
